Today we also had a lecture from a storyboard artist, Tony Chance. He talked about his experiences and processes for 3 hours with us giving us helpful insights.
Tony is a storyboard artist, illustrator, and director, with 18 years experience in feature films and TV. He writes, plans and visualises sequences for anything between blockbusters and commercials.

I wanted to really listen to what he had to say instead of focusing on note taking for this session, some of the notes I made are as followed:
Everything must start with a script
Planning is key, which includes a storyboard
Storyboarding used to turn scripts into visuals
Having this session and being able to hear someone so passionate about storyboarding and the film sector was super helpful. It made us all realise the importance of planning and why storyboards are helpful to everyone involved in making a film. From this, I know for my final film I will create a detailed story board illustrated on my iPad to help me with the shooting and development process. It was so interesting to see how the storyboards then match up to the final films he worked on.
