In my last blog post (first draft of film) I spoke about where I got to with my first draft of the film and why I decided to change it around. I started a whole new sequence with the footage I had in order to chop it up a bit to make it a bit more interesting.
I copied all the footage over to my new timeline and began cropping it all down, making sure to not group together all the footage of one person like I did. Instead I chopped it all up on the timeline. I started the new edit this time with blank screen heading to the title "A JASON WU FILM" as for hand in I wanted to show the brand immediately, to make the audience aware. I also thought it was important to include some blank space before actual footage as the music eases in, in the first draft it straight away started with footage of Alexa which was quite off putting and didn't quite feel right. I also added in the title "EMBRACE YOUR FEMININITY" which lined up perfectly with the beat of the song after its introductory period.
I then decided to put the short montage of all 6 models, which I originally made for the ending of the first draft, at the start of the film after the text. I did this to show all of my models faces before getting into the film, this gets the audience familiar with them and they get to see a glimpse of their personality. I did this by cutting it out of the end of the old sequence and copying it into the new sequence at the start.

For the rest of the film I condensed the content, cutting out some more of the personal stuff of each of the models. They all introduce themselves at the start and then it goes into a montage in no particular order of them talking a bit about what they enjoy. This is then followed by some inspirational talk about femininity and their personal relation and experience with it.

I think this new sequence is a lot more successful than the first in terms of communicating my ideas better and keeping a more engaged audience.
