First Draft of Film

With the footage I got from filming day I began editing it in Premier Pro just how I had imagined it. A slow story which documents each of my models one by one, allowing each individual to introduce themselves, talk about their story/ hobbies and then how they feel and embrace their femininity. I was loving it as I was putting the footage together, one by one of each person but by the time I had all six of my models and their audio in the timeline it began to feel lengthy and rather boring.
I showed this semi-finalised film to some of my peers and Keiron and we all agreed that it doesn't really engage the audience as well as it should. It came to 3 minutes which does meet the brief however, it felt as if it was playing for ages. I know my film content isn't elaborate or exciting, it's supposed to be natural and simple which made me realise that I need to be a bit more experimental with my editing rather than just putting the clips in. I decided to make a whole new sequence with my content, keeping the old one so I still have something to fall back on as it's only a week until hand in and I wouldn't want to simply get rid of something I've worked hard on over the last couple of weeks.
My ideas for the re-edit of this is make it more condensed in time and footage, chopping the clips up more and integrating it all instead of the film slowly taking you through each model one by one. For instance, everyone will introduce themselves in the first 30 seconds, then it will cut to all 6 models talking about themselves quickly with a short montage. I think this way, the audience will feel more engaged and interested in the film. This would therefore make the film more enticing and in branding terms more successful. If this film was actually being posted for Jason Wu, it would be a campaign that speaks to its target audience and communicates the idea of embracing femininity at a younger age.
I have uploaded below my first draft of the editing process. It wasn't a completely finished film as I decided against it before I had the chance to finalise it. It's missing subtitles for Anni's audio where she's speaking Hungarian. It was also missing some audio I was waiting to get sent over from my model Poppy. Without these things you can still get a feel of what this film would've been...
