Concept Board Client Team - Valentino

In order to visualise our film projects, we were set the task to make concept boards, one for the client and one for the creative. I made my client concept board for Valentino as it was my original brand I was given. This was my chance to visualise and brainstorm about how I would like the Valentino film to turn out in regard to the client brief that I wrote a couple weeks ago.


One of the main things I want to include in this film is a strong colour scheme of red to emphasise the branding element of the shade 'Valentino Red' and make this consistent throughout. I wanted to aim this film toward a younger generation to help make the idea of the 'Valentino Woman' more youthful which can be expressed through younger models from ages 18-25. This idea of youth would also come from the setting and location which would be a mix of city nightlife and club scene. This club inspiration came from the scene in Black Swan with the red flashing light and moving bodies. The concept board captures the movement and abstract posing I want from the models when they are in this sweaty, captivating and euphoric place. I want the film to express freedom and expression of the youth when in this scene, and whilst wearing Valentino.


For makeup and hair I want some red inspired editorial looks inspired by the colour 'Valentino Red' fit with glossy looks to represent the sweatiness and smudges to show the fun times had. A group of young diverse models will represent this all with different looks to create a sense of unity and women coming together.
