A key part of this term is communicating with our clients and creatives for the projects. We were all given a brand at the start (mine was Valentino) which we had to create a client brief for, which then got given to someone else. My Valentino client brief went to Ed and Tianna's client brief for Jason Wu came to me.

In order to continue and pursue our filming, it's important that we have our ideas and plans signed off by our client. We have to make sure our client is happy with our concept and how we plan on meeting their brief.

Ed showed me his plans, concept boards and mood boards for his idea for the final fashion film for Valentino. I absolutely loved his idea and vision for the film and I felt that it successfully met the brief that I wrote and was fitting to the brand. As I thought this idea was so good I signed the project off for him and asked if he needed any more advice from me. We spoke about styling propositions, actors and location and I am excited to see where he takes this project.

Ed sent me over his moodboards and plans:

As for getting my project signed off, I sent over my concept boards, treatment and audience profile to Tianna whilst I was at home over the week. She replied with saying how she thought it was a fantastic idea. She thought I considered everything she thought about for Jason Wu. The only thing she wanted more from me was to speak about getting the film out there in terms of social media exposure to bring awareness to the brand and their values. Happy to sign this off, she also suggested I could add in some montages of flowers, which is a great idea considering my mini project 2 and Jason Wu's liking of florals. However, I may struggle with getting some picturesque shots of flowers during winter months.

Having these conversations with our creatives and our clients is so important during this project to ensure we are working within the guidelines of our teams and peers. This is good industry practice and helps us perfect our communication.
